On the surface, they look much like any of Sony’s other Alpha SLR cameras, with only a few aesthetic tweaks, additions and changes to set them apart. But who said the camera never lies? Looks, after all, can be deceiving, and if the A33 and A55 look to you just like any other SLR, then the deception is complete.

The much-anticipated launch of the new Sony NEX series has arrived! NEX stands for New E-Mount Experience, making them a different breed of cameras to both Micro Four Thirds and Digital SLR cameras. The Sony Alpha NEX cameras have an APS-C sensor and as of Sony research on the 11th May 2010, they are the world’s smallest interchangeable lens cameras

The Gadget Show Live is swarming with new and exciting gadgets and gizmos, including many aimed at photography and photographers. Some of the main camera manufacturers were there, along with several suppliers of computer accessories. There were also a couple of new products that just might be appearing for general consumption in the not too distant future.

It is difficult to overstate the impact that the announcement of the Panasonic G system of Micro Four Thirds cameras had on the photographic world in September 2008. At the photokina trade show in Cologne, Germany, that month, the talk was of little else, and it seemed every manufacturer was either considering something similar or had a camera that would meet the challenge raised by the first model.
