Last year, the staff here at Wex had a competition running to shoot the best photo of a ‘W’ and you can see some of our results in the image above. So, we want to extend the challenge to you! How would you fancy a brand new Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR camera with 15-85mm IS USM Lens worth £2,399.99? That’s what we’ll be giving away to the person who takes our favourite ‘W’ photo.

Last month we asked you to submit images that best capture the essence of ‘Urban Jungle’ for the WEX Gallery photography competition, with a Canon PowerShot G12 digital camera up for grabs for the first place winner!

The May WEX Gallery competition theme was ‘Call of the Wild’ and I must admit we were pretty excited about seeing some impressive entries. We certainly weren’t disappointed, the quality of images submitted was very high and it was definitely a tricky one to judge.

Finding myself early for a meeting, I went into the town centre in search of a strong coffee. As I entered the town hall square I noticed an advert for an exhibition of photography on show inside the town hall. So I forgot the coffee and headed inside. Now I’m no expert on wildlife images, but I do know a good composition when I see it and believe me, there some very fine photographs on show.

The theme for the November/December round of the Warehouse Express staff photo competition was “Light” and once again the entries were split into two categories; Beginner and Advanced. The quality of the images submitted was simply superb and there were several shots that could have won and would have deserved to do so.

This round of the WEX Staff Competition saw a slight change to the format. The competition was split into 2 categories – Beginner and Advanced. The theme for this round was simply “Autumn” and this attracted a large number of entries from all parts of Warehouse Express, including enthusiast photographers and first-time snappers alike.

Try to imagine this nice tranquil scene in the Aves household; there we are all relaxed and cosy in front of the fire watching TV together on a Sunday night – what could be nicer? How was I supposed to know it would all end in argument and disagreement, and all over some photographs?

We’re very excited to announce our support for the British Heart Foundation’s second annual Red For Heart photography competition! The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is calling all photographers to capture the theme Red for Heart by snapping a photo that incorporates the colour red.

Readers of Practical Photography and Digital Photo magazines, and browsers of the Photo Answers website may well be aware that every year for the past 25 years they have run the Gear Of The Year awards – a way of acknowledging and celebrating the new and exciting developments in the world of photography over the year, along with the people and organisations that have made it special. For the past 8 years Warehouse Express have won the coveted “Best Online Retailer” award and, with this being the extra-special 25th Anniversary of the awards, we were hoping to make it 9 in a row.

The talented Warehouse Express Staff have once again put finger to shutter for July’s photo competition. Following in line with the WEX Gallery customer competition the theme for July was “The Street”.
