Finding myself early for a meeting, I went into the town centre in search of a strong coffee. As I entered the town hall square I noticed an advert for an exhibition of photography on show inside the town hall. So I forgot the coffee and headed inside. Now I’m no expert on wildlife images, but I do know a good composition when I see it and believe me, there some very fine photographs on show.

Last Sunday Warehouse Express and Andy Rouse descended yet again on the venue that is fast becoming a firm favourite with us for our ever-popular seminars. This time the topic was DSLR 101, where Andy gave an in-depth run-down of everything you need to know about Digital SLR photography, starting with the very basics.
The day dawned bright and sunny and as the attendees arrived there was much excited chatter about what the day would hold. Starting with white balance and moving through aperture, RAW v JPEG, shutter speed, histograms, ISO ...

This extremely accommodating camera bag gives you easy access all your camera systems, ready to shoot straight from the bag. The tube based design means that you can store lenses such as a 500mm or 600mm lens with the camera attached.
It’s a strange experience. You look deep into their eyes and they stare back at you, like they’re trying to figure out what you’re thinking. Despite their blank and almost emotionless expression, the slight look of puzzlement in their eyes as they gaze back at you makes them seem almost human… But that’s enough about the staff at the motorway services.
Andy Rouse’s seminar at Chester Zoo was the biggest one so far from Warehouse Express, with 170 keen photographers packed into the lecture theatre just outside the ...

This was the 3rd Warehouse Express and Andy Rouse seminar to be held at Slimbridge Wildlife and Wetland Trust, a superb venue for nature lovers and therefore a great venue for Andy’s seminars, as they are so focused on wildlife. This time, Warehouse Express sent our resident bird photographer along to get an enthusiast’s insight in to what these seminars had to offer.
“As a member of the audience and fellow nature lover, I warmed immediately to Andy’s unique style, which combines a direct and no-nonsense approach full of insightful opinions ...

Despite having met Andy on a couple of occasions previously, I’d never had much of a chance to speak to him about his work. As such, as we pulled up in the Slimbridge WWT car-park in Gloucestershire, I was probably looking forward to the day as much as the 90 photo-enthusiasts that had bought tickets for the event.
The staff at Slimbridge are a very helpful bunch and obviously very proud of their centre. And they have every right to be; the Slimbridge Wetland and Wildlife Trust is a fantastic venue ...

Phew, what a busy few weeks it has been for everyone here at Warehouse Express; we’ve had seminars coming out of our ears! Last Sunday Andy Rouse took the Visions of Light seminar to the Arundel Wildlife and Wetland Trust for another of his lively and informative all-day seminars. Yet again the tickets for this event had sold out in a matter of hours, so it was a bustling and boisterous crowd that filled the lecture theatre, with many a laugh and a giggle to be heard throughout the day, ...

On Sunday 26th October 2008, a deluge of enthusiastic photographers and Andy Rouse fans hit the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust in Slimbridge, Gloucestershire for the first in the series of Andy Rouse Visions of Light seminars organised by Warehouse Express.
Kicking off at 10am, Andy entertained the packed room with anecdotes from his years of experience, giving fantastic tips on how to best use light.
When the morning session broke for coffee, everyone spilled out of the seminar room only to discover that photographers weren’t the only deluge to hit Slimbridge that ...
