Finding myself early for a meeting, I went into the town centre in search of a strong coffee. As I entered the town hall square I noticed an advert for an exhibition of photography on show inside the town hall. So I forgot the coffee and headed inside. Now I’m no expert on wildlife images, but I do know a good composition when I see it and believe me, there some very fine photographs on show.

Last Sunday Warehouse Express and Andy Rouse descended yet again on the venue that is fast becoming a firm favourite with us for our ever-popular seminars. This time the topic was DSLR 101, where Andy gave an in-depth run-down of everything you need to know about Digital SLR photography, starting with the very basics.

All photography enthusiasts will be delighted to hear that Andy Rouse has released his much awaited Viper Rucksack which is available now, exclusively at Warehouse Express.

It’s a strange experience. You look deep into their eyes and they stare back at you, like they’re trying to figure out what you’re thinking. Despite their blank and almost emotionless expression, the slight look of puzzlement in their eyes as they gaze back at you makes them seem almost human…

This was the 3rd Warehouse Express and Andy Rouse seminar to be held at Slimbridge Wildlife and Wetland Trust, a superb venue for nature lovers and therefore a great venue for Andy’s seminars, as they are so focused on wildlife. This time, Warehouse Express sent our resident bird photographer along to get an enthusiast’s insight in to what these seminars had to offer.

Despite having met Andy on a couple of occasions previously, I’d never had much of a chance to speak to him about his work. As such, as we pulled up in the Slimbridge WWT car-park in Gloucestershire, I was probably looking forward to the day as much as the 90 photo-enthusiasts
