Nikon D300s Sample Video
We’ve just discovered two fantastic Nikon D300s sample videos courtesy of Ami Vitale and Robert Bösch, recorded whilst reviewing the D300s for Nikon. Both D300s videos appear to be exceptionally high quality – even after web optimisation.

The D300s may only record 720p resolution video, but if the clarity is this impressive straight out the box then it’s going to be a real winner. These look really bad. I am hoping to get this camera but will not if this is all it can do in video mode. Looks like about 8fps a la Super 8 video, and the image quality is very disappointing compared to 5D II samples.

In my opinion the quality looks good, compared to the D5000 & D90, and considering the D300s samples have been web optimised / compressed to H.264 FLV.
Guess we’ll all have to wait to see 5D II vs D300s sample videos using the original uncompressed output.
