So, you may well have noticed it’s coming up to that time of year where men up and down the country start sprouting facial fuzz of the top-lip variety, and challenging the normally staid and uptight month of November to become a far more laidback and chilled… Movember!

This morning Canon have announced their new flagship professional digital SLR – the EOS 1DX. This launch sees the amalgamation of their 1D and 1Ds lines and brings with it an “unparalleled combination of speed, resolution and image quality”.

Before she became a full-time photographer, Sue Flood worked with the BBC for 11 years in their Natural History Unit where she was an Associate Producer on the award-winning series ‘The Blue Planet’, and also more recently on ‘Planet Earth’. I recently met up with Sue again to have a chat about her recent travels to some warmer climates…

This year we managed to collect not one, not two, but THREE shiny awards! To say Warehouse Express was over the moon would somewhat be an understatement. First off we were crowned “Best Online Retailer” – now our 10th year in a row, a title which we hope to continue to serve and are hugely proud of.

After weeks of rumours, Fujifilm have this morning released the FinePix X10 – tipped to be a younger sibling to the hugely popular (and award-winning!) FinePix X100, it has many of the same specifications in addition to some exciting new features.

This week Nikon have announced their latest range of compact cameras. While some are new and improved updates on popular previous models (such as the P7100), some are brand new – like Nikon’s first ever rugged camera: the AW100 which will be available in a fantastic camouflage finish, perfect for the great outdoors!

The highly coveted EISA awards have just been announced! Each year the editors-in-chief of 50 magazines in 19 European countries meet to decide which products are worthy of the award, and these are the top products they’ve chosen in the Photo category…

It is just not possible to do full justice to a topic as specialised as this in a brief blog – this has been my prime photo interest for over 15 years and I am still learning (and who knows, hopefully improving), but I hope I can give you an outline of a few things that will help you. So where shall I start then? At the end of course!
