The world is a huge and amazing place with loads of incredible things to photograph. Unfortunately, the truth is that most of us will never get to see a lot of it, so sometimes it pays to set more reasonable photographic targets. With that in mind, your own backyard is as good a place as any to start, and you don’t need to have expensive specialist equipment. You might be surprised what you find there and the photographs you get.

I have shot hundreds of bike races both nationally and at world events over the last four years and I’ve learnt what to do (and what not to do) to keep myself, my gear and the riders safe.

This is the first self-produced, tailor made demonstration video that WEX have created specifically for the purpose of demonstrating a product to our customers. The talented Warehouse Express Staff have once again put finger to shutter for July’s photo competition. Following in line with the WEX Gallery customer competition the theme for July was “The Street”.

The Allied counter-offensive was well under way by this stage of WWII, and people were starting to look at life beyond the conflict, and what jobs and careers (in this case in photography) might be available to servicemen and women demobilising and returning to civilian life.

Taking pictures while travelling should, first and foremost, be an enjoyable and pleasurable part of the journey, but as shown here, it can also be a way of making your trip safer and less stressful.

It’s often said that the people make the place, and nowhere is this more true than when travelling. A destination my have the most beautiful scenery in the world, but it’s the people and the culture that really bring a place to life.
