Casio G-Shock Camera – Exilim G1
Casio are bucking the trend of boring camera design; the new Exilim G1 is a rugged digital camera with heavy style influences from their G-Shock watches. The tank-like appearance is a good indicator of the G1’s tough credentials. The Casio EX-G1 is capable of withstanding 2.13 metre drops, is waterproof up to 3 metres deep and freeze-proof until the mercury hits minus 10° Celsius.

The EX-G1 is a slim camera - just 20mm deep!
The Exilim G1 looks like a fine choice if you’re feeling the need for adventure; the shock-proofing is better than the Olympus Mju Tough 6010 (although the Olympus has a 28-102mm lens) and the styling is suited to everyday use, unlike the Canon PowerShot D10 which is definitely tailored to underwater use (up to 10m!)
