Adobe Creative Suite 4 Software
It’s not just the camera manufacturers that will be releasing new products at this year’s Photokina. Adobe will be raising the curtain on Creative Suite 4 on September the 23rd. Those not attending the exhibition can sign up for Adobe’s release webcast.
A chunk of the new Creative Suite has been available for public beta testing since May, but Adobe have been playing their cards fairly close to their chest as regards what the complete package will be offering. Still; whatever the final line-up of software and tools, there’s going to be an awful lot to it, and it’s undoubtedly going to become the next industry-standard technology.
The next generation of Photoshop will be of primary interest to photographers, and the new version looks set to implement improved image scaling, reducing or removing the need for other image scaling software. Improved interoperability is also on the horizon, and that means better integration with Fireworks and Dreamweaver.
Judging from demonstrations, Adobe will also be developing the user interface, and standardising it across programs. Many other details are still shrouded in mystery, but Adobe will certainly be looking to ensure that glitches with Photoshop on Windows Vista are eliminated.
All-in-all, the Suite looks to be a real powerhouse, and likely to be one of the most important releases of the month.
